Description
First UK edition, published 1983, Macmillan
An elusive book which, in common with most other early Wesley first editions, has quite browned page edges. With this copy there is also a speckle of foxing to the page edges and the endpapers are also quite foxed. The book has a very slight lean and the initials EL are very discreetly at the top corner of the first free endpaper. Overall it's better than very good in a dustwrapper that can also be described as at least very good as the only issues, apart from being price clipped, is a fair bit of foxing to the inner flaps and to the very edges of the front and rear panels.
What makes the book particularly special is that not only has the author signed her name as Mary Wesley to the title page, she has also signed with her real name of Mary Siepmann.
